Nike's "Just do it" was inspired by the last words of a convicted criminal, who said "Let's do it. and tapped into the importance of mindset. L'Oréal's "Because you're worth it" aligned with the women's movement. The Volkswagon Beatle's "Think small" campaign turned a supposed weakness into a strength.

Writing good marketing copy means communicating a product's benefits in a way that will persuade the reader to take action, but also taking a deep dive into human motivation and what drives it. I've plumbed the depths for government departments, universities, not-for-profits, foundations and technology companies.

What does it take to build one of the world's longest trails?

It seems as if almost every week now, I come across another study reporting on the benefits of outdoor activity and nature on well-being.

Beyond the benefits of exercise, it is becoming increasingly recognized that time spent out- side provides significant benefits, including improved ability to concentrate, reduced stress and even better cognitive function.
